Welcome All!

My name is Lauri Glenn and I am happy to welcome you to Bodhi Bodywork. I am the proud Owner and Operator of this massage therapy business and have been in practice since May of 2001. I currently work out of my private residential studio in the Armstrong Tract of Truckee and am also available for outcalls in the greater Lake Tahoe Area.
My journey into exploring and bettering my own mind, body, and spirit began in 1994 with a diligent and regular Bikram yoga practice. I then studied Iyengar Yoga in Seattle with Richard Schactel, eventually teaching from 1998-2002 during which time I also attended massage school. Being passionate about hands-on Bodywork, I then focused on Massage Therapy, initially working in a range of environments from Day Spas to Physical Therapy before branching into private practice in 2003. All of these experiences have allowed me the opportunity to work with a broad spectrum of people and body types from homemakers to office workers, laborers to weekend warriors and professional athletes.
I specialize in slow, detailed Deep Tissue work with an emphasis on Sports Therapy techniques and utilitzation of the breath to allow greater access to the deeper musculature. This enables a more profound, longer lasting release of chronically held tension, stress, and unbalanced movement patterns. Taking into account your personal experience, lifestyle, profession, and your intentions for bodywork, I tailor each session to your specific needs.

The word "Bodhi" is a Sanskrit and Pali term meaning "Awakening", "To Awaken", or "Enlightenment". With each bodywork session, I will facilitate an opportunity for you to "Awaken" not only your Body but Mind and Spirit as well.
